The DSA Foundation Hostel was successfully commissioned on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Ila-Orangun, Osun State, marking a significant milestone in the Foundation’s commitment to expanding access to quality student accommodation, education, and innovation-driven development.
The commissioning ceremony, held at the hostel facility in Iperin, Ila-Orangun, attracted traditional rulers, education stakeholders, community leaders, partners, volunteers, and students, all gathered to witness the unveiling of a purpose-driven project designed to address accommodation challenges while promoting academic excellence and social responsibility.
Founder’s Vision and Personal Inspiration
Speaking at the event, the Founder of DSA Foundation, Dr. Shola Ajiboye, shared the inspiration behind the initiative, describing it as a project rooted in purpose and compassion.
Dr. Ajiboye revealed that when the idea of establishing the student hostel first came to him, he sought the opinion of his wife, whose response strongly affirmed the vision.
“When I shared this idea with my wife, her support was overwhelming,” he said. “She reminded me that true impact goes beyond paper money and figures—it is about touching lives, creating opportunities, and putting real smiles on people’s faces.”
He added that she expressed excitement about how the hostel would help put more smiles on the faces of young people across Africa, particularly those who face financial and accommodation barriers to pursuing education in science and technology.
Testimony of Lifelong Impact
Also speaking at the event was Professor Tunde Ajiboye, elder brother to the Founder, who offered insight into Dr. Ajiboye’s longstanding passion for impact-driven work.
According to Professor Ajiboye:
“My brother has always been deeply passionate about making meaningful impact. This hostel is just one out of many initiatives he has done—and will continue to do—to improve lives and open doors for young people.”
He described the project as a natural extension of the Founder’s lifelong commitment to service, innovation, and community development.
More Than a Building
In his address, the National Coordinator of DSA Foundation emphasised that the hostel represents far more than physical infrastructure.
“Today, we are not just commissioning a hostel; we are commissioning access, dignity, and hope. This facility stands as proof that education thrives best when students are supported holistically,” he stated.
Purpose-Built for Learning and Growth
The DSA Foundation Hostel is equipped with modern and student-friendly facilities, including:
Self-contained rooms with private toilets

Community Commendation and Future Outlook
